During COVID 2020, The Publik Library hosted a virtual event with Playlab, Inc.’s founder, Archie Lee Coates. Archie discusses his “library card” and details the influences that led him to becoming a multi-hyphenate creative.
Project: Adidas Sneaker Design Workshop
A Ma Maniere partnered with Adidas & Educated Guess to conduct a “pop-up school” based around footwear design. The premise of the workshop was to allow the local Atlanta community to see the process of what it means to be a footwear designer.
Two designers from Adidas’ HQ helped guide the student group through a design session that included how to make a design brief, moodboard, concept and sketching. For example, the students had to figure out a hypothetical question: What if Cartier wanted to create an NMD with Adidas- what does that look like and why.

Social Status teamed up with Adidas Sound Labs, whose mission is to give resources and opportunities to future generations in music education. This is done by building a studio space for up and coming creatives to use.
The sessions of the Soundlab had 18 students from different backgrounds throughout the United States. Each week, different mentors from creative industries host a 2-hour session aimed at different topics to help the students gain insight within the music and creative industry.

In support of the Unite & Conquer Cancer month, Atlanta United teamed up with A Ma Maniere to create the Kings Become Legends Exhibit. An interactive three-day exhibit celebrating the club’s most iconic moments.
During the experience, consumers were able to purchase Atlanta United photography, access customized products, and enjoy the “Hammer in the Golden Spike” virtual reality experience.

Red Bull and Teyana Taylor released a documentary titled Assembly Required: Teyana Taylor’s House of Petunia. It is a full length, one-hour documentary that closely follows the collaborative process of Teyana’s iconic performance at Red Bull Music Festival New York. Raw and unfiltered, the film reveals every painstaking step that made the House of Petunia show possible.
